Opening a brand new school represents an enormous privilege, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a monumental challenge.

A heady blend!

In the grand scheme of things, the free schools programme is still in its infancy. Today, 500 free schools have opened in England with another 300 or so scheduled to do so in the next few years. 

As such, very few people have faced the very specific challenges affecting free schools. Free school leaders - even those opening within larger academy trusts - frequently report to us that this can be quite daunting and isolating.

Over the years, pioneering free school leaders - like yourself - have continually expressed the desire for more peer-to-peer support to learn, support and inspire one another.

That's why we've built the NSN Hub. We want to:

• Connect you to one another so that you can learn, support and inspire one another;
• Provide direct access to NSN’s deep free school expertise;
• Ensure that you get quick responses to questions that don’t have obvious answers - freeing you up to focus on what you do best, serving your growing communities.

The Hub will host a vibrant programme of events, masterclasses and networking sessions focusing on the specific challenges facing schools at various stages in their development.

The Hub will also enable us to collect insights about your challenges; ensuring that our support and advocacy is always responsive, timely and relevant.
